So over the weekend my little sister and mom came to visit me in college so I OF COURSE wanted them to see Peter after 5 weeks of not seeing him. Well it looked like either he had an itch and messed up his hair OR someone bit him (Or he was just dirty so some hair stuck up) but anywho I decided I wouldn't put a saddle on and ride bareback. So walk was fine I was nice and relaxed at the trot but just as I asked for canter, my position was off I couldn't relax and the result was what you witnessed. BUT While canter to my doom (not really lol) I felt Peter shift so I was like 'I must see the video!' and sure enough my boy changed leads :D so I am SUPER happy that he knows how to but SUPER depressed that I was stiff and bouncy and hurting him :'( but yeah I promise that the other day we had an awesome relaxed go round :) but I do believe I'll continue to walk trot only until I can fully relax so I'm not hurting him for listening. AND so for the past few rides I felt really off, like I hadn't ridden in a while and I couldn't keep my leg still and I was off balance and stiff and so Peter felt that and would rush and all this stuff and the other day I worked bareback and then the day after used the saddle and it was AMAZING the change but yeah anywho just so you know but enjoy comment (If it's advice please be mature I'm not a perfect rider BY FAR but I'm not clueless either, I can at least criticize my own riding (which is more than a lot of people who need it can say!)
