Amanda's Pov I was getting ready for my date with Steve when Sophia and James came into my room looking at me. James my older brother and the last one of my family that I talk to, he looked at me sighed "I am so proud of you Ams." He said to me before pulling me into a hug. I hugged him back and thanked him he had been my best friend, brother, and father to me. After our parents had let us all those years ago he had been the one that helped me through it. I walked out with James and Sophia as they walked me to my car and smiled at me. I had never felt this much for someone before. Maybe this was my way back to love. Maybe Steve was the one that would get me back to trusting people. I smiled and drove to the house and when I got to the basement I was shocked no one had ever done this for me before. Steve got up and looked at me and smiled, he kissed me on the lips for the first time and I deepened it till we had to pull back for air. Through that kiss I had found him to be the one that I would spend the rest of my life with.

Steve's Pov It had been three nights since our first date Amanda was amazing she had told me about her parents. It now made since why she had been so unwilling to date me for a while there. She was scared that she would fail at marriage too. She had no idea that she was nothing like her parents she had something that my sister-in-law Virginia would never have and that was a good heart.
